What is leaded glass?

Leaded Glass is often described using the following terms:

Stained Glass, Art Glass, Decorative Glass, Ornamental Glass, Textured Glass, Church Glass, and Colored Glass

It is all the same thing and may include colored glass or clear textured glass or both.

It is commonly seen in residential entry ways, bathroom windows, and churches.

Did the kids throw a ball and break your beautiful stained glass window?

Did someone slam the front door too hard and shatter or crack the leaded glass in it?

You don't know what happened; it's just broken?

Don't worry about replacement!      Let me fix it for you!

A-1 has thirty years of experience with virtually every aspect of leaded glass, including repairs. Estimates of repairs are given free of charge, provided that the explanation of the repair is given over the phone or in an e-mail. This is usually done by sending a digital picture in an e-mail or describing, over the phone, the details of the broken piece (e.g. glass type, number of broken pieces, etc.) I have performed hundreds of repairs over the years and have never come across something that I couldn't fix. My repairs are done on site, on most occasions, in a matter of one to three hours, as opposed to other glass companies who want to remove your glass and take it back to their shop to fix or have you bring it to them.

Below is an example of a before and after repair.

In order to receive the fastest response and most accurate quote, please take a few pictures of the damaged window from the inside of the house looking out, during daylight hours, and please don't use a flash. One of the entire broken window, as close as possible, and however many it takes to show a close up of the damaged areas, keeping the entire broken pieces in the picture. If you have covered the damaged area with cardboard or some other covering, please remove it prior to taking the pictures. It is very important that I am able to clearly see the glass texture of the broken pieces. Please then attach the photos to an e-mail, including your name, full address, and best contact telephone number and send to...
